I have the pleasure of training with Taryn via Skype. I “meet” with Taryn once a week and she sends me a workout routine for the remaining days that I do on my own. I often email Taryn with concerns, updates, challenges and she gives me wonderful guidance and support.

I have two active children and work full time. My struggle was finding the time to exercise; everyone and everything else took priority...I will never forget the first time I met Petra. I was running from work, rushed in and apologized for being late. Petra was waiting and just smiled and told me to take my time. She listened to my story, asked me questions about my goals and gave me some tips and suggestions...I started with baby steps. I set up training time to meet with Petra once a week...I slowly started to add more workouts to my week but was still inconsistent. My goals were simple. They were not to train for a marathon or any kind of race; I simply wanted to be healthy and keep up with my children...Now I am in a rhythm and when I miss a day, it’s like wearing your shirt backwards: it just doesn’t feel right."

Since working with Petra, it is very evident that she is an expert and...genuinely cares about the clients she is training. She has focused her energy on ensuring that anyone that she trains receives the level of understanding and ability in order to increase their degree of performance and resilience...From personal experience, through her training, I have been able to better assist my client population of soldiers and veterans by utilizing the tools she has taught me and instilled within me. Her training abilities have helped me to provide more efficient service delivery to my clients...
Petra is a true asset to any organization, and I, as an AW2 Advocate, feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with her as she is very knowledgeable in what she does as a Performance Expert. She has most definitely been an asset here at Ft. Carson and to me personally as an AW2 Advocate as she has helped me to perform my job at a higher degree of understanding.
I met with Petra just weeks before my first Ironman, bringing unhealthy competitiveness and my first major bike crash just days after hearing of my aunt’s unexpected passing. Not only did I feel lost, but tired from nearly a year of physical training. During our first meeting, I immediately felt comfortable and for the first time – HEARD. She really listened then gave me tools to not only mentally prepare for my race, but also to start the healing process of my battered athlete spirit....Ironman changed my life and Petra, among my family and friends, was a huge part.
Taryn and I have been training together for almost 3 years. She isn’t the first trainer I’ve ever had, but I hope she’s the last! She’s trained me through injuries and surgeries, through a marathon and my first triathlon. Taryn is straightforward, but kind; knowledgeable, but fun; motivating, but realistic. I’d say those are just about the best qualities in a trainer!
